What a great way to start winter festivities than with Village Noel Temiskaming. Lots of snow is in the forecast, let’s enjoy it to its fullest! 

The Building Ties project is very proud to launch this innovative, one-of-a-kind Winter Fun Guide, filled with important information on activities to do this winter, in and around the Temiskaming Shores area. We are hoping that this guide will help promote our winter adventures to newcomers to our area as well as encouraging locals to discover some new places. Numerous activities include ice fishing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, downhill skiing, tube sliding, sleigh rides, carnivals, curling, hockey, skating and, of course, relaxing in our numerous inns and resorts and delighting in our tasty restaurants.  ‘We are thrilled to provide this Winter Fun Guide which we hope will make easier to promote winter activities in our region, helping you to enjoy winter in all its glory. Also, you may discover new attractions.’ says Anne-Marie Loranger, project co-ordinator of the Building Ties.

The Winter Fun Guide is available at the Temiskaming Shores Tourism Information Centre (883356 Hwy 65), as well as in many local businesses and accommodations. 

The Building Ties Temiskaming project would like to recognize the support of FedNor, Temiskaming Shores & Area Chamber of Commerce, South Temiskaming Community Futures Development Corporation, partners of the Lake Temiskaming Tour du lac Témiscamingue and local businesses that are assisting us in distributing the guide.

Quoi de mieux pour célébrer le début des activités hivernales que le Village Noël Temiskaming ? La météo nous annonce beaucoup de neige, alors profitons-en au maximum !

C’est avec une très grande fierté que le projet Tisser des liens Témiscamingue lance ce Guide novateur et unique en son genre qui sera une source de renseignements indispensable sur les activités offertes cet hiver dans la région de Temiskaming Shores. Nous souhaitons que ce Guide encourage les nouveaux arrivants dans notre région à partir à l’aventure et les gens du coin à explorer de nouveaux endroits cet hiver. Parmi les nombreuses activités en vedette, mentionnons la pêche sur glace, la raquette, la motoneige, le ski alpin, la glissade sur tube, les promenades en traîneau, les carnavals, le curling, le hockey, le patinage et, bien sûr, la détente dans les nombreux hôtels et centres de villégiatures ainsi que la découverte de nos délicieux restaurants. « Nous sommes emballés par la publication de ce Guide. Nous espérons qu’il facilitera la promotion des activités hivernales dans notre région et permettra aux gens de profiter de toute la splendeur de l’hiver. Il se peut même qu’ils y découvrent des endroits qu’ils ne connaissent pas encore », explique Anne-Marie Loranger, coordonnatrice du projet Tisser des liens.

Le Guide est offert au Centre d’information touristique de Temiskaming Shores (883356, route 65) ainsi que dans de nombreuses entreprises locales et de nombreux lieux d’hébergement.

Le projet Tisser des liens Témiscamingue tient à souligner l’appui de FedNor, de la Chambre de commerce de Temiskaming Shores et des environs, de la Société d’aide au développement des collectivités de South Temiskaming, des partenaires de Lake Temiskaming Tour du lac Témiscamingue et des entreprises locales qui participent à la distribution du Guide.

The third edition of the Lake Temiskaming Tour tourism brochure is launched: Celebrating 400 years since the arrival of the French around Lake Temiskaming

Temiskaming Shores, May 29, 2015 – For centuries, the French language has been spoken on the shores of Lake Temiskaming. Four hundred years ago, Samuel de Champlain first ventured into Algonquin and Ojibway land and in so doing, set foot in what is known today as Ontario. Voyageurs following in his footsteps made it all the way to Lake Temiskaming. Over time, on either side of the lake, settlers established a dynamic Francophone community with a proud history

The second edition of the Lake Temiskaming Tour tourism brochure is launched:

building on a successful Ontario-Québec partnership

For the second year in a row, communities and organizations from Ontario and Quebec have come together to promote tourism in the region surrounding Lake Temiskaming.

This promotional tool showcases a tourism circuit that takes visitors on a trip without boundaries where they can discover the region’s Anglophone, Francophone and Algonquin cultures and experience original vacation activities grouped by theme.




The Lake Temiskaming Tour has recently launched a brochure to promote the sites, attractions and events around Lake Temiskaming which links Ontario and Quebec.  The circuit takes visitors on a trip around the Lake showcasing the region’s Francophone, Anglophone and Aboriginal cultures. The slogan of this unique cross-border tourism initiative proclaims: One Lake, Two Provinces, Three Cultures.
