All businesses operating in the South Temiskaming region are eligible to nominate, self-nominate, and be an award winner. You do not have to be a member of the Temiskaming Shores & Area Chamber of Commerce to participate. Our service area: Latchford to Englehart, and the Quebec bord to Elk Lake. Non-chamber members may nominate and be award winners.
Depending on the volume of nominations, our judges will select three finalists per category and choose the award winner. Finalist will be announced prior. We have selected an independent committee to review all nominations and select our award winners.

The Desjardins Small Business Excellence Award Description: For small-scale operations, recognizing their unique achievements in business practices and contributions, including exceptional customer service. Criteria: Business performance, innovation, customer service excellence, and community involvement.
Large Business Excellence Award Description: For larger businesses, acknowledging their significant role in economic growth, community support, and excellent customer service. Criteria: Market leadership, employment opportunities created, customer service excellence, and community impact.
The Northern College Innovation Award Description: Honors a business that has introduced a novel product, service, or process that significantly benefits their industry or community. Criteria: Originality, impact on industry or community, practicality, and user adoption.
Resilience Award Description: Honors a business or individual that has demonstrated extraordinary resilience in the face of challenges, maintaining or growing their business against the odds. Criteria: Overcoming significant business challenges, adaptability, perseverance, and impact of resilience on business success.
Davy's Your Independent Grocer New Liskeard Employee of the Year Description: Recognizes an outstanding employee nominated by their peers or employers for exceptional contributions to their company. Criteria: Work ethic, impact on company success, teamwork, and innovation.
The Young Entrepreneur of the Year Description: Awards a standout business owner under 30 who has demonstrated remarkable entrepreneurial spirit and success. Criteria: Innovation, business growth, leadership qualities, and potential for future impact.
The TSACC Chamber President Award Description: The Chamber President Award is a distinguished honor presented to an individual or business that has demonstrated outstanding leadership, commitment, and contribution to the Temiskaming Shores and Area Chamber of Commerce and the local business community. This award is personally selected by the Chamber President, adding special significance to the recognition. Criteria: Leadership, commitment to the Chamber, community involvement, innovation & excellence, mentorship and support.
The Kennedy Insurance Corporate Citizen Award Description: Acknowledges a business that excels in social responsibility, including community involvement, ethical business practices, and sustainability efforts. Criteria: Community engagement, ethical business practices, sustainability initiatives, and positive impact on society.
The South Temiskaming Community Futures Development Corporation Outstanding New Business Description: Highlights a business that has made a significant impact despite being in operation for a relatively short period. Criteria: Market entry strategy, innovation, initial growth, and community impact.
The Scotiabank Business of the Year Description: Recognizes a business that has shown exceptional overall performance and significant impact on the community over the past year. Criteria: Business growth, innovation, community impact, and leadership in the industry.
