January 2025 At the Temiskaming Shores and Area Chamber of Commerce (TSACC), we’ve always worked to support local businesses through events, networking opportunities, and marketing initiatives. While these efforts are valuable, we recognize that the long-term success of our business community depends on tackling the bigger challenges that impact us all.
That’s where advocacy comes in. Advocacy is about identifying issues, proposing solutions, and working with stakeholders to create meaningful change. It’s about thinking beyond day-to-day operations to ensure the future strength and vibrancy of our local economy. As the voice of our members, TSACC advocates for businesses by lobbying at all levels of government, with a particular focus on municipal issues where our influence is strongest. Whether it’s working to address local challenges, proposing funding opportunities, or shaping policies that foster growth, we are committed to ensuring that the needs of our members are heard and prioritized. To highlight this critical work, we are launching Advocacy in Action, a series that will showcase the initiatives TSACC is pursuing to improve the business environment and quality of life in our region.
